Collage Zines

Collage Zines are one of my favourite playful mixed-media projects. They’re simple to set up, always different, personal to each student, and suitable for all ages. I recently ran this workshop as part of our printmaking and collage unit. Students loved building their own tiny books full of layers, textures, and stories. Seeing their collages printed in black and white, then sharing and exchanging them with friends, added a whole new level of engagement. By the end of the course, every student had a little stack of original zines created by their fellow artists.
